Learn how to easily make your pumpkin spice coffee syrup in the comfort of your home. Enjoy the perfect fall flavor in every cup!
Is anyone a Basic pumpkin spice fan like me? I’m guilty of it, as soon as July is finally over, I’m counting down the days until Starbucks releases the fall drinks. While I have been enjoying the Starbucks September Thurs-Yays and because September is almost over, I decided to make and share my very own pumpkin spice coffee syrup recipe.
If you have had the Torani pumpkin spice syrup in your Amazon cart for over 2 months, you’ll know and understand the price has risen dramatically! While I can’t copycat Starbucks pumpkin sauce I thought if I bought the Torani pumpkin spice coffee syrup and tried to replicate it, it would be more doable.
Why should you make this?
- You’ll have pumpkin spice coffee syrup at the palm of your hands. Which means you can drink it all day and all year long.
- Have you ever gone through a drive-through and ordered a pumpkin spice latte and had the worker tell you that they ran out of the pumpkin spice coffee syrup? Oh, that happened to me this year already. The disappointment.
- Saves you money and you don’t have to leave the house to get your pumpkin spice fix.
Pumpkin spice coffee syrup Ingredients:
- Brown Sugar: Adds Sweetness and provides a caramel flavor that regular granulated sugar doesn’t have. You can simply use granulated sugar and add molasses instead.
- Pumpkin Puree: Make sure to grab a can of pumpkin puree and not pumpkin pie filling.
- Water
- Cinnamon sticks: Gives a deeper flavor.
- Pumpkin spice: This recipe calls for 1 tbsp this will ensure there is enough pumpkin spice in every sip!
- Condensed milk: I originally opted out of using condensed milk. But when I kept tasting the Torani pumpkin spice coffee syrup it was slightly sweeter than the one I made. I also wanted the pumpkin syrup to be thick and the condensed milk helped achieve that. But feel free to completely opt out of this option.
How to make Pumpkin Spice Coffee Syrup:
In a saucepan, combine water, brown sugar, and cinnamon sticks and heat over medium heat until sugar is dissolved.
Next, allow the mixture to come to a boil, then reduce heat to low and simmer for 10 minutes.
While waiting place the pumpkin puree into a cheese cloth or fine sieve and squeeze out the pumpkin juice. You should be able to get a little over 1/2 cup of pumpkin juice.
Once the sugar mixture has reduced whisk in the pumpkin juice and pumpkin spices. Allow it simmer for an additional 5 minutes, stirring frequently.
Remove the mixture from heat and let it cool to room temperature. Next, Add and mix in the condensed milk once the mixture has cooled.
Finally, transfer the pumpkin spice syrup to a clean glass jar or bottle and store it in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.
Use the syrup to flavor coffee, lattes, tea, or any other beverage. Enjoy!
