Halloween Oreo Reese’s Brownies: Thick and chewy stuffed and layered with spooky Halloween Oreos and ghost Reese’s.
This Halloween year serve these delicious treats and not tricks to your party guests! These brownies have black cocoa powder that gives the brownies a charcoal color that’s just perfect for your Halloween party!
While making this recipe, I thought about the perfect texture that would go with the Oreos and the Reese’s. I wanted them thick, chewy, and chocolatey with Oreo and Reese’s in every bite. And you bet I nailed it! Its everything I wanted and dreamed of.
Why You’ll Love These Oreo & Reese’s Brownies:
- Who doesn’t love brownies?
- I know we’ve seen Oreo brownies before but with the inspiration of the movie parent trap I just had to combine Reese’s and Oreos together.
- These brownies are chewy and fudgy with the most perfect crisp edges.
- You can make these brownies even it’s not Halloween! Just change the Oreos to any flavor you want and add regular or mini Reese’s instead.

How to Make Halloween Oreo Reese’s Brownies:
In a saucepan melt the butter and oil until hot. Take the saucepan off the heat and add in the chocolate and stir until smooth. Set aside to cool down.
In a stand mixer whip up the eggs, sugars and vanilla until light and fluffy. Slowly add in the warm butter and chocolate mixture and mix on medium until just combined.
Sift the dry ingredients directly into the batter and fold.
Line an 8x8in baking pan with parchment paper and pour half the brownie batter into the pan. Alternate by adding the Reese’s and Oreos on top of the brownie batter. Add in the remaining brownie batter and then top with a few whole pieces of Reese’s and Oreos and then a mixture of chopped up pieces.
Bake at 350 degrees for 25-35 minutes. Insert a toothpick into the center of the brownie, the brownie is done when there are still some crumbs left.
Allow the brownies to fully cool before cutting.
Brownie FAQS:
How do I store these brownies?
- Store in an airtight container on the counter for 5 days.
Can I freeze them?
- One of my favorite ways to freeze things is to wrap them in parchment paper individually and then wrapping in cling wrap and then placing them into a freezer safe gallon bag. This way you can thaw them out individually when you want one.
How far ahead can I make them?
- These Oreo & Reeses Brownies can be made up to 48hrs ahead and wrapped tightly in cling wrap.
What’s the best way to cut brownies?
- I find that waiting a full 24hrs after the brownies have baked is the best time to cut them. TIP: For an easy clean cut, use a plastic knife to cut the brownies, instead of having to clean your knife often.
Can I skip out on the black cocoa?
- Yes, you certainly can. It does change the color and slightly the taste but just use substitute it with regular cocoa powder instead.
What kind of chocolate can I use?
- The recipe calls for bittersweet chocolate, but you can use any chocolate you have on hand. The flavor will be different depending on which you decide to use.
